IS 1851 : 1997 Single Operator type arc welding transformers

1 Scope

1.1 This standard lays down requirements and tests forair-cooled and oil-cooled arc welding equipment of the singleoperator transformer type, for manual, semi-automatic and automatic welding.

1.1.1 This standard applies to welding transformers suitable forsupply voltages specified.

Note - This standard does not necessarily fully cover there quirements for transformers for gas-shielded arc welding.

1.2 This standard does not cover rectifier type welding equipment.
