IS 18657 : Part 4 : 2024/ISO 9276-4 : 2001 Representation of Results of Particle Size Analysis - Part 4 Characterization of a Classification Process
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard which is identical to ISO 9276-4 : 2001 + Amd 1 : 2017(E) 'Representative of results of particle size analysis - Part 4: Characterization of a classification process' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Sieves, Sieving and Other Sizing Methods Sectional Committee and approval of the Civil Engineering Division Council.
This standard is published in various parts. Other parts in this series are:
Amendment were No. 1 issued to IS 9276-4 has also been incorporated in this Indian Standard.
Part 1 Graphical representation
Part 2 Calculation of average particle sizes/diameters and moments from particle size distributions
Part 3 Adjustment of an experimental curve to a reference model
Part 5 Methods of calculation relating to particle size analyses using logarithmic normal probability distribution
Part 6 Descriptive and quantitative representation of particle shape and morphology
The text of ISO standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appear referring to this standard, they should be read as 'Indian Standard'; and
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
