IS 1865 : 1991 Iron castings with spheroidal or nodular graphite

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers grades and the requirements of ironcasting with spheroidal or nodular graphite classified on the basisof:

a) mechanical properties measured on test pieces prepared fromseparately-cast test samples, and

b) mechanical properties measured on test pieces prepared fromcast-on test samples.

1.2 Grades and requirements of spheroidal cast iron, classifiedon the basis of hardness. These are subject to the mutual agreementbetween the purchaser and the manufacturer.
