1. SCOPE

This standard prescribes the requirements and methods of sampling and test for the material commercially known as ready mixed paint, universal, zinc chrome, priming (synthetic) for light alloys. The material is used for the protection of light alloys and in some cases steel work. It may be used both under marine and inland outdoor conditions. The primed surfaces will normally be overcoated with interior fire retardant paints.
