This Indian Standard (Part 28) (First Revision) which isidentical with IEC Pub 50 (321) (1986) `Internationalelectrotechnical vocabulary - Chapter 321 : Instrumenttransformers', issued by the International ElectrotechnicalCommission (IEC), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards onthe recommendation of Basic Electrotechnical Standards SectionalCommittee, ET 01 and approval of the Electrotechnical DivisionCouncil.

This Indian Standard (Part 28) was first published in 1972. Thefirst revision has been undertaken to align with the internationalpractice.

Only the English text given in the IEC publication has beenretained while adopting as Indian Standard, and as such the pagenumbers given here are not the same as in IEC Publication.
