This Indian Standard (Part 37) (First Revision) which isidentical with IEC Pub 50 (691) (1973) `Internationalelectrotechnical vocabulary - Chapter 691 : Tariffs forelectricity, issued by the International ElectrotechnicalCommission (IEC), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards onthe recommendation of the Basic Electrotechnical StandardsSectional Committee (ET 01) and approval of the ElectrotechnicalDivision Council.

This Indian Standard (Part 37) was first published in 1973. Thisfirst revision has been undertaken to align with the internationalpractice.

Only the English text given in the IEC publication has beenretained while adopting as Indian Standard, and as such the pagenumbers given here are not same as in IEC publication.
