This Indian Standard (Part 69) which is identical with IEC Pub50 (602) (1983) `International electrotechnical vocabulary :Chapter 602 : Generation, transmission and distribution ofelectricity - Generation, issued by the InternationalElectrotechnical Commission (IEC), was adopted by the Bureau ofIndian Standards on the recommendation of the BasicElectrotechnical Standards Sectional Committee and approval of theElectrotechnical Division Council.

Only the English text given in the IEC publication has beenretained while adopting as Indian Standard, and as such the pagenumbers given here are not same as in IEC Publication.
