NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 87) which is identical with IEC 60050-713 : 1998 ‘International Electrotechnical Vocabulary - Part 713: Radio communications: transmitters, receivers, networks and operation’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Transmitting Equipment for Radio Communication Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

IS 1885 (Part 18) : 1967, IS 1885 (Part 19), IS 1885 (Part 20) : 1967, IS 1885 (Part 22) : 1967, IS 1885 (Part 23) : 1967 and IS 1885 (Part 25) : 1967 were originally published in 1967 and were largely based on IEC Pub 50 (60) ‘Radio Communications’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission.
