NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 88) which is identical with IEC 60050-725 : 1994 ‘International Electrotechnical Vocabulary - Part 725: Space radiocommunications’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendations of the Transmitting Equipment for Radio Communication Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

IS 1885 (Part 66) ‘Electrotechnical Vocabulary - Part 66: Space radiocommunications’ was originally published in 1988 and was based IEC Pub 50 (725) ‘Advance edition of International Electrotechnical Vocabulary, Chapter 725: Space radiocommunications’, issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
