IS 1902 : 2006 Preservation of Bamboo and Cane for Non-Structural Purposes - Code of Practice

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the types of preservativesand method of treatment of bamboos and canes,used both indoor and outdoor for non-structuralpurposes. It also includes recommendations on thechoice of treatment depending on the various usesto which the bamboo and cane are put.

1.2 This standard does not cover the treatment ofbamboo meant for structural purposes, which iscovered separately in IS 9096.
