NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard which is identical to ISO 12922 : 2020 'Lubricants, industrial oils and related products (class L) - Family H (hydraulic systems) - Specifications for hydraulic fluids in categories HFAE, HFAS, HFB, HFC, HFDR and HFDU' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Lubricants and their Related Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.
This standard supersedes IS 10532 (Part 1) : 1983, IS 10532 (Part 2) : 1983, IS 10532 (Part 3) : 1983, IS 10532 (Part 4 ) : 2019 and IS 10532 (Part 5) : 2016 to align Indian Standard with the corresponding International Standard.
The text of the ISO standard has been proposed as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appear referring to this standard, they should be read as 'Indian Standard'; and
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
