IS 19128 : 2025 Sustainable Development of Rural Habitats - Indicators
1 SCOPE
1.1 This standard defines and establishes methodologies for a set of indicators to steer the development and to measure the performance of services and quality of life for sustainable habitats in villages for developing them as sustainable habitats in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
1.2 This standard is applicable to any village that undertakes to measure its performance in a comparable and verifiable manner, irrespective of size and location. These indicators can be adopted for the villages in areas of different types of geo-climatic zones, with suitable zone-specific consideration.
NOTE - The word ‘village’ includes hamlets.
