NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical to IEC 60239 : 2005 'Graphite electrodes for electric arc furnaces - Dimensions and designation' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Industrial Process Measurement and Control Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.
