This Indian Standard which is identical to IEC 60240 - 1 : 1992 'Characteristics of electric infra-red emitters for industrial heating - Part 1: Short wave infra-red emitters' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Industrial Process Measurement and Control Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.
