NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical to ISO 13105-1 : 2023 'Building construction machinery and equipment - Machinery for concrete surface floating and finishing - Part 1: Commercial specifications', issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Construction Plant and Machinery Sectional Committee and approval of the Mechanical Engineering Division Council.

The standard supersedes IS/ISO 13105-1 : 2014 'Building construction machinery and equipment - Machinery for concrete surface floating and finishing: Part 1 Terms and commercial specifications' which has been technically revised. In this revision the following major modifications have been incorporated:

a) Title has been changed;

b) Scope has been modified;

c) New terminology has been added; and

d) Normative references have been updated.

This standard is published in two parts. The other part in this series are:

Part 2 Safety requirements and verification

The text of ISO standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standard. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as 'Indian Standard'; and

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
