1. SCOPE

This standard (Part 3) defines terms for steel products according to,

a) stage of manufacture;

b) their shape and dimensions; and

c) their appearance and surface condition.

NOTES

1 Although the products are generally defined independently of their end uses or manufacturing processes, it has sometimes been necessary to make reference to these criteria.

2 All dimensions given in this standard are nominal.
