NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2) (Third Revision) which is identical with ISO 13938-2 : 2019 ‘Textiles - Bursting properties of fabrics - Part 2: Pneumatic method for determination of bursting strength and bursting distension’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Physical Method of Test Sectional Committee and approval of the Textiles Division Council.

This standard was first published in 1961 and subsequently revised in 1975 and 2009. Second revision of this standard was based on ISO 13938-2 : 1999. This standard has been revised again to align it with the latest version of ISO 13938-2 : 2019 by adoption under dual numbering system.
