1. SCOPE

1.1 This standard specifies material, performance, constructional and other requirements of handoperated stirrup type sprayer (also called as Mechanical Sprayer) used for spraying plant protection substances (for example, pesticides).

1.2 The maximum working pressure of this type of sprayers is 400 kPa (100 kPa = 1.0197 kgf/m2 = 1 bar).
