This Indian Standard is identical with ISO 496-1973 `Driving anddriven machines - shaft heights issued by the InternationalOrganization for Standardization (ISO), and was adopted by theBureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of theTransmission Devices Sectional Committee, and approved by theMechanical Engineering Division Council.
