IS 2063 / Part 1 : 2016 / ISO 230-1 : 2012 Test Code for Machine Tools Part 1 Geometric Accuracy of Machines Operating Under No-load or Quasi-Static Conditions ICS 25.080.01 PGD 35
Reaffirmed 2022
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 1) (Third Revision) which is identical with ISO 230-1 : 2012 ‘Test code for machine tools — Part 1: Geometric accuracy of machines operating under no-load or quasi-static conditions’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Machine Tools, Machine Tool Elements and Holding Devices Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.
This standard was first published in 1962 and revised in 1988 and 2002. This revision has been taken up to align with the latest version of ISO Standard.
This standard is issued in nine parts. Other parts are:
Part 2 Determination of accuracy and repeatability of positioning of numerically controlled axes
Part 3 Determination of thermal effects
Part 4 Circular tests for numerically controlled machine tools
Part 5 Determination of the noise emission
Part 6 Determination of positioning accuracy on body and face diagonals (diagonal displacement tests)
Part 7 Geometric accuracy of axes of rotation
Part 8 Vibrations
Part 9 Estimation of measurement uncertainty for machine tool tests according to series ISO 230, basic equations
The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminology and conventions are however not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
