NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 7) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 230-7 : 2015 ‘Test code for machine tools - Part 7: Geometric accuracy of axes of rotation’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Machine Tools, Machine Tool Elements and Holding Devices Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2016 based on ISO 230-7 : 2006 ‘Test Code for Machine Tools - Part 7: Geometric Accuracy of Axes of Rotation’. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 230-7.
