1. Scope

1.1 This standard sets out the dimensions and gross lidded capacities and some structural and performance requirements of round tins with friction closures and double ends in a preferred range of nominal capacities up to and including 5 litres.

1.2 This standard does not cover the containers for which individual standards have been laid down, such as, containers for paints, capsital liquid pesticides, etc.
