IS 2221 : 1962 Methods of Test for Aminoplastic Moulding Materials

1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes the methods of test foraminoplastic moulding materials. It prescribes the methods fordetermining apparent powder density, density of moulding and bulkfactor, mould shrinkage, water absorption, boiling waterabsorption, degree of cure, tensile strength, impact strength,plastic yield, cross-breaking strength, electric strength at 90°C, surface resistivity, volume resistivity, andresistance to tracking.

1.2 Should any inconsistency be found to exist between themethods prescribed in this standard and those in the standard for individual materials, the latter shall prevail.
