1 Scope

1.1 This specification covers transformers, having a secondaryvoltage not exceeding 15 kV RMS between terminals and/or 7.5 kV RMSto earth on open circuit and a primary voltage not exceeding 250 Vat a frequency of 50 c/s, used with high voltage luminous dischargetubes which may be employed for sign lighting, for publicity or fordecorative purposes, either for indoor use or for outdoor use (whensuitably protected against rain).
