This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 8512-1 : 1990`Surface plates - Part 1 : Cast iron issued by the InternationalOrganization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau ofIndian Standards on the recommendations of the EngineeringMetrology Sectional Committee and approval of the Basic andProduction Engineering Division Council.
