This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 8493 : 1998 `Metallicmaterials - Tube - Drift-expanding test' issued by the InternationalOrganization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau ofIndian Standards on the recommendations of the Mechanical Testing ofMetals Sectional Committee and approval of the Metallurgical EngineeringDivision Council.
