NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Fifth Revision) which is identical with ISO 5772 : 2015 'Rubber and plastic hoses and hose assemblies for measured fuel dispensing systems - Specification' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation(s) of the Rubber and Rubber Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.

This standard was first published in 1963 and subsequently revised in 1968, 1981, 1988 and 2017. In third revision requirements for elongation at break and adhesion were modified and requirement for increases in outer diameter at proof pressure was included. In the fourth revision, the standard was aligned with ISO 5772 : 1998 in dual numbering system to keep pace with the latest developments that have taken place at the international level. The title of ISO Standard was retained, as it was an identical standard.
