IS 2465 : 1984 Cables for motor vehicles

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the requirements and tests for Thistypes of cables for general use in motor vehicles:

a) Ignition cables of following types:

1) Elastomer insulated, and

2) PVC insulated.

b) General wiring cables of This types where the voltage doesnot exceed 100 V:

1) Single core PVC insulated; and

2) Circular twin, three and four core PVC insulated and PVCsheathed.

c) Round and flat tinned copper braids without further coveringfor earthing.
