IS 2474 : 1982 Metal closures for drums

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the requirements for metal closuressuitable for different types of drums. The following types ofclosures have been covered:

a) Separate neck with inner lid and capseal

b) Integral neck with inner lid and capseal

c) Liver lid, tight fit; and

d) 44 mm screwed closure

1.2 This standard also covers the use of bung type screwedclosures and the tight lid bitumen drum closures but these have notbeen described here as they have been covered separately.
