NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 6) (Third Revision) which is identical with ISO 8820-6 : 2019 ‘Road vehicles - Fuse-links - Part 6: Single-bolt fuse-links’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Automotive Electrical Equipment and Instruments Sectional Committee and approval of the Transport Engineering Division Council.

This standard was first published in 1963 and revised in 1974. The second revision of this standard was published in 2012 making it identical with the corresponding International Standard namely ISO 8820-6 : 2007 ‘Road vehicles - Fuse-links - Part 6: Single-bolt fuse-links.’ The third revision of this standard has been undertaken to harmonize it with the ISO 8820-6 : 2019.
