1 Scope

This standard covers galvanized round strand and multi-strand rotation-resistant steel wire ropes for standing and running rigging, hawser, mooring and towing purposes, cargo gear rope,davit rope and life boat fall ropes. The following rope constructions, types, rope grades, cores, size ranges as identified by X mark are covered.
