1 Scope

1.1 This standard (Part II) covers the requirements, includingthe dimensional requirements, for rotary wafer switches (lowcurrent rating) with central mounting used in electronic andtelecommunication equipment.

1.1.1 Rotary wafer switches with normal-duty and heavy-dutyindex mechanisms are covered in this specification.

Note - The terms `normal-duty and `heavy-duty bear norelationship to the electrical rating of the switches but indicatethe difference in the operating torque.
