IS 2641 : 1989 Electrical welding accessories

1 Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the requirements and tests forelectric welding accessories in order to optimize the safety of theoperator and to ensure satisfactory conditions of use.

1.2 The accessories covered in this standard are electrodeholders and return current clamps for manual arc welding withcovered electrodes of length not more than 450 mm.

1.3 This standard does not apply to accessories used for specialapplication, such as, underwater welding.
