This standard prescribes the constructional details and dimensional requirements for stainless steel holding type batch pasteurizers of 500, 750 and 1 000 l capacities for pasteurizing milk at 63°C for 30 min or any other time-temperature combination, wherein the temperature of pasteurization does not exceed 65°C, the heating being done by injecting steam into water.
