1. SCOPE

This standard prescribes a method for the quantitative chemical analysis of binary mixture of manila and sisal fibres in any form, such as fibre, yarn, rope or fabric.

NOTE - Before conducting an analysis according to this method; the fibres present in the mixture should be identified (see IS 667) and the sample to be analysed should be free from all added and non-fibrous matter.
