1 Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 1) lays down methods for thequantitative and qualitative estimation of the following in treatedtimber and in treating solutions:

a) Copper, arsenic and chromium in timber treated withcopper-chrome-arsenic or copper-chrome preservatives;

b) Chromium and zinc in timber treated with chromated zincchloride;

c) Boron; and

d) Creosote and fuel oil in timbers treated withcreosote-fuel-oil mixtures.
