NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which identical with ISO 1070 : 2018 ‘Liquid flow measurement in open channels - Slope-area method ‘issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is being considered to be adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards after the recommendation of the Hydrometry Sectional Committee WRD 01 and approval of the Water Resources Division Council.

This first revision of the standard was published in 1999 which was identical with ISO 1070 : 1992. The second revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 1070 : 2018
