NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2) (Second Revision) which is identical with IEC 60122-2 : 1983 ‘Quartz crystal units for frequency control and selection - Part 2: Guide to the use of quartz crystal units for frequency control and selection’ issued by International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Magnetic Components, Ferrite Materials, Piezoelectric and Frequency Control Devices Sectional Committee, and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

This standard was first published in 1964. The first revision of this standard was brought out in 1980. The second revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of IEC 60122-2 : 1983.
