IS 3025 : Part 45 : 1993 Methods of Sampling and Test (Physical and Chemical) for Water and Wastewater - Part 45 : Sodium and Potassium

1 Scope

This standard prescribes following three methods fordetermination of sodium and potassium:

a) flame emission photometric method using either a flamephotometer or an atomic absorption spectrophotometer in the flameemission mode;

b) atomic absorption spectrometric method using an atomicabsorption spectrophotometer in flame absorption mode; and

c) gravimetric method for determination of sodium andcalorimetric method for determination of potassium.
