NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 65) (First Revision), which is identical with ISO 17294-2 : 2016 ‘Water quality - Application of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) - Part 2: Determination of selected elements including uranium isotopes’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Water Quality Sectional Committee and approval of the Chemical Division Council.
This standard was originally published in 2014 by adopting ISO 17294-2 : 2003. First revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with ISO 17294-2 : 2016. In this revision, mercury, iron and uranium isotopes have been incorporated for determination. The title of the standard has been aligned with ISO title of ISO 17294-2 : 2016.
