1 SCOPE

This clause of IS 302-1 ( 1979 ) is applicable except as follows:

1.1 Replacement

This standard covers general and safety requirements for electrically motor operated low speed food grinding machines intended for domestic and similar use, their rated voltage not exceeding 250 V ac single phase or dc or 415 volt three phase ac.

1.2 Replacement

This standard docs not apply to:

- electric kitchen machines which is covered under a separate standard IS 302-2-14 ( 1994 ).

For appliances intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary.
