1 Scope

This clause of IS 302-1 (1979) is applicable except as follows:

1.1 Replacement

This standard covers general and safety requirements forelectrically operated household steam cookers, their rated voltagenot exceeding 250 V, ac single phase, or dc.

The electrical part of appliances making use of other forms ofenergy is also within the scope of this standard and the influenceof the non-electrical parts on the electrical parts is taken intoconsideration.
