IS 3169 : 1991 Internal Combustion Engines - Two Stage, One Litre, Diesel Fuel Filters

1 Scope

1.1 This Indian Standard specifies the connecting and overalldimensions and performance requirements of two stage fuel filter ofone litre casing capacity and filter inserts thereof used forfiltering the fuel supplied to diesel engines and mounted betweenfuel tank and injection pump in case of gravity feeding and mountedbetween feed pump and injection pump in case of forced feeding. Incase of filter inserts, only essential overall and fittingdimensions have been laid down in order to avoid undue restrictionson the manufacturers regarding the choice of material and design.
