This Indian Standard (Part 1), which is identical with ISO 2699: 1986 "Diesel engines - Flange mounted fuel injectors Size `S'-Types 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6", issued by the International Organizationfor Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of IndianStandards on the recommendations of the Automotive PrimemoversSectional Committee and had been approved by the TransportEngineering Division Council.
