IS 3195 : 1992 Steel for the manufacture of volute and helical springs (for railway rolling stock)

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the requirements for steel in the formof fiats and rounds intended to be used for the manufacture ofvolute and helical springs for railway rolling stock.

1.2 Steel ingots and billets conforming to IS 8052 : 1976 may beused for the manufacture of flats and rounds conforming to thisstandard.
