1. Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 1) deals with welded low carbon steel cylinders intended for storage and transportation of liquefied petroleum gases (see 1S 4576) of nominal capacity exceeding 5 l up to and including 250 l water capacity. This standard lays down the minimum requirements for the materials, design, manufacture, construction, tests and marking on these cylinders.
