IS 3395 : 1997 Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and Liner Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) Materials for Moulding and Extrusions - Specification

1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements, methods ofsampling and tests for low density ployethylene (LDPE) and linearlow density ployethylene (LLDPE) moulding and extrusion materialshaving density 908.0 kg/m3 at 23ºC). It applies tomaterials ready for normal use in the form of granule or powder.

1.2 This standard is intended to be used for identification andcharacterization of low density ployethylene and liner low densityployethylene materials on the basis of basic polymer parameters andrecommended end uses.

1.3 Though this standard indicates the major end use(s), it doesnot impose any restriction. However, it in no way guarantee thesuitability of a particular processing and end use conditions.

1.4 This standard does not cover masterbatches.
