NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2/ Sec 1) (First Revison) which is identical with ISO 14309 : 2019 ‘Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic - Determination of volume and/or surface resistivity’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation(s) of the Methods of Test for Rubber and Rubber Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1971 for the determination of volume resistivity of electrically conducting and antistatic rubbers. Now, the Committee had decided to align it with the latest published International Standard on the subject. Accordingly, the first revision of the standard is being undertaken to align it with ISO 14309 : 2019 under dual numbering system to make pace with the latest international practices.
