IS 3400 : Part 20 : 2025/ISO 1431-1 : 2022 Vulcanized Rubber - Methods of Test - Part 20 Resistance to Ozone Cracking - Static Strain Test
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Third Revision) which is identical to ISO 1431-1 : 2022 'Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic - Resistance to ozone cracking - Part 1: Static and dynamic strain testing' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Rubber and Rubber Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.
This standard was first published in 1977 and subsequently revised in 1994 and 2018. This revision has been brought out to align it with the latest version of ISO 1431-1 : 2022 in dual numbering system to make pace with latest developments that have taken place at international level.
The text of ISO standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions and terminologies are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appear referring to this standard, they should be read as 'Indian Standard'; and
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
