NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 7) (Second Revision) which is identical with ISO 132 : 2017 Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic — Determination of flex cracking and crack growth (De Mattia) issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Methods of Test for Rubber and Rubber Products Sectional Committee, and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1967 and subsequently revised in 1985. The first revision of standard was based on ISO 132 : 1975 ‘Vulcanized rubbers — Determination of resistance to flex cracking (De Mattia type machine)’. The second revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 132 : 2017.
